Join me for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the art of crafting traditional thrummed mittens! Perfect for beginners and experienced knitters alike, this class will guide you step-by-step in creating these warm, fluffy mittens lined with wooly thrums—ideal for keeping fingers toasty on the coldest days.
You’ll learn:
- How to prepare and insert thrums for a soft, insulating interior.
- Techniques for knitting a mitten pattern, including shaping the thumb.
- Tips for choosing the best yarn and wool for your project.
A selection of colorful wool for thrumming, a written pattern and expert instruction are included. I’ll send a supply list and homework when you enroll. You’ll leave with one almost completed mitten and the skills to finish the second at home.
